Birding

Morro Bay’s ecological landscape make it a natural habitat choice for a variety of land and water birds.  And many migrating birds use Morro Bay as a stopover while completing their journeys twice a year - one reason why the Audubon Society considers the city an important bird area.  You can observe the bird population year-round and participate in organized birding activities and guided tours during the Annual Winter Bird Festival.
