Discover Your Better Nature
When your better nature calls, you'll find plenty to do in Morro Bay. Grab a cup of locally-brewed coffee and get ready for the day. Start your journey with a nature hike through the Elfin Forest or Sweet Springs Nature Preserve - both located in Los Osos, just across the bay from Morro Bay. Bring your binoculars and your camera as you're sure to find plenty to see and remember.
Visit the Morro Bay Natural History Museum to learn about the local habitat. From there, you can walk down the harbor for lunch and kayak rentals. Paddle across the bay (also a bird santuary) to the sandspit. Return in time to take a stroll along the Embarcadero where you'll find all sorts of interesting memorabilia. If you're in town during Farmers' Market, you can't miss the fresh local fruits and veggies. Stock up!
At the end of the day, treat yourself to dinner at one of our many local restaurants overlooking the water. And be sure to check out our local art galleries for nature-related art.
