Treat Your Family to a Day of Fun
Morro Bay is a great place to bond with the family. Start with a hearty breakfast at one of our many full service breakfast restaurants. Then head to the Embarcadero to rent a kayak for a half-day adventure on the bay.
Paddle to the sand spit for some fun on the dunes. Take pictures, watch the waves, build a sand castle. Then head back across the bay, say goodbye to your kayak, and go downtown for lunch.
After lunch, don't miss the Morro Bay Natural History Museum, located inside the Morro Bay State Park. Here you'll learn about the habitat of Morro Bay and the surrounding areas. From the museum, take a hike up Black Hill where you can look out over Morro Bay and ocean. On a clear day you can see all the way up the coast and down to Los Osos and Montana de Oro. It's a beautiful hike.
You'll be worn out at the end of this day and ready to refuel. Have dinner overlooking the water in Morro Bay and watch the sunset. Head back to your hotel and rest up for another active day on the central coast. |
