March 13: Beer Fest & Chili Cook Off. Enjoy a sanctioned International Chili Society Cook Off with local teams and individuals competing in the People's Choice category for cash prizes and trophies. Breweries from the Central Coast will be competing for Best Beer and will have their specialty beers available for tasting. Live music by Lenny Blue & the Otter Guys.

April 10-11: Spring Yard Sale Weekend. Organizers of the popular Morro Bay Spring Yard Sale Weekend expect a strong attendance by budget-minded shoppers. April 24: Discover Your Better Nature Parade and Kite Festival. The Festival will include food, arts & crafts vendors, Professional Kite Pilots, Kite Wranglers, exhibitions by Kite Boarders and a candy drop for the kids. May 15: Mermaid & Pirate Parade. Ahoy mates! Come and join the 2nd Annual Mermaid and Pirate Parade on Saturday May 16. Toddlers thru 12yrs are welcome to dress in their best mermaid and pirate costume meet at the Rock and walk the Harbor Walk to Dockside II. Prizes, Best costume & goodie bags. June 5: Morro Bay Music Festival. Show your moves on Morro Bay's largest out door dance floor while you listen to music featuring local favorites and national rising stars.
