About Us...
After spending a couple years traveling around the western part of the country doing art festivals I have settled in Morro Bay, CA on the beautiful central coast. I work from my home/studio and in my spare time doing some carpentry to pay for it all. In between the "paying for it all" and walks on the beach with Chloe, my dog, I am working on some new images both in paintings and some photography. I'm crossing my figures on that one. About Us...
Since 1974 ceramic artists Hedy and Ross Hale have owned and operated the Full Moon Studio and Gallery located in downtown Morro Bay. Hedy and Ross show their our own ceramic sculpture work - contemporary ethnic art forms -as well as the work of two other Central Coast local women. Artist Alice Sennet shows high-fire functional pottery. Potter Tish Cook shows functional porcelain and stoneware thrown pieces. RAKU o LOW-FIRE o HIGH-FIRE o PORCELAIN o STONEWARE Hedy and Ross also make ceramic hand and footprint keepsakes for babies, children, families, and even pets and ship worldwide. About Us...
The Morro Bay Art Association was founded in 1951. Morro Bay Art Association is a non-profit status association with a membership of approximately 300. Our beautiful gallery is open 7 days a week. A dedicated staff of volunteers runs the gallery. Every six weeks we showcase a local artist. The Morro Bay art community proves to be excellent in all mediums, including paintings, oil, acrylic, watercolor, collage, photography and pottery. Morro Bay Art Association hosts demonstrations, meetings, workshops, adult art classes and a children's summer program. This year we celebrate our fourth annual juried Central Coast Fine Art Competition, featuring artist from all over the United States. August 10, 2007 thru September 16, 2007. The 43 years of Art in the Park along with gallery sales sponsors the scholarship fund for high school and college students of San Luis Obispo County. We host a student art exhibit November and December; awards are given in all media. In 2006, the Morro Bay Art Association awarded $9,000.00 in scholarship funds. GALLERY HOURS - 12:00pm. TO 4:00pm
